a message from royal blue founder, robert hillyer

my dad, rick hillyer, started a power washing company called petersburg power washing in petersburg, illinois in 2007. in 2018 i asked him if i could start my own business in kansas city and if i could use a name he had thought of several years before (royal blue). this is what he told me:

At Royal Blue Power Washing we are committed to running an honest business that runs with integrity. This means that when you hire us, we give you a fair price and a superior service— and you don’t pay until the job is done. If we make a mistake — we fix it. You won’t need to call us after the fact to let us know about it. We will be the first to let you know if we’ve messed up. But we won’t just let you know about it, we will let you know what we’re going to do to fix it. We strive to be a company that you know you can trust. (We also are a company that does things right the first time and issues are extremely rare)
